Accessibility Statement

Introduction

At Caser.expatinsurance, we are committed to universal accessibility, continuously working to ensure that our digital assets are usable by all people, regardless of their abilities, age, or personal circumstances.

Our accessibility statement is based on the harmonized European technical standard EN 301 549, which is the European standard for digital accessibility in the public and private sectors, approved by the European Commission. This standard defines accessibility requirements for technology products and services. The scope of this statement covers the website https://www.caserexpatinsurance.com/, excluding content from external domains. However, Caser.expatinsurance and its external providers remain actively committed to improving the accessibility of external content included in their digital assets, with the aim of ensuring as inclusive a digital experience as possible.

Our goal is to continuously monitor and correct potential accessibility barriers, in order to provide an inclusive and obstacle-free experience for all users.

Caser.expatinsurance aims to go beyond mere compliance with minimum legal accessibility requirements. Our commitment is to achieve the highest accessibility standards, with the goal of meeting AAA level criteria (the highest level of web accessibility), continuously improving the usability of our digital products, and obtaining certifications that validate our excellence in accessibility.

To achieve this ambitious goal, we have implemented a comprehensive accessibility service (S.I.A.), developing comprehensive corrective measures that include specialized training for our teams, systems for evaluating and continuously improving accessibility, and proactive actions on both our websites and mobile applications, with the ultimate purpose of ensuring a truly universal and inclusive digital experience.

Accessibility Requirements and Improvement Plan

Caser.expatinsurance follows the EN 301 549 standard to ensure the digital accessibility of its website https://www.caserexpatinsurance.com/. Some of the features implemented to improve content accessibility include:

· When ICT allows subtitle visualization, providing a mode in which the user can adapt subtitle display characteristics to their individual requirements, unless the subtitles are displayed as unmodifiable characters.

· Using video players that provide a mode to select and play available audio descriptions.

· Conducting a thorough review of all significant images to ensure they include appropriate alternative texts, ensuring visual information is also accessible to people with visual disabilities.

· Considering the implementation of audio descriptions or alternative media for all recorded videos, ensuring visual content is accessible through other means.

· Preparing alternative versions of videos with integrated audio description, or offering a second channel that allows its activation, expanding the accessibility of audiovisual content.

· Auditing structural elements such as headers, field groupings, lists, and tables to verify that visual relationships are correctly programmed and defined.

· Adding additional visual cues such as underlining, icons, or explanatory text to avoid using color as the sole means of conveying information.

· Using both automatic and manual tools to ensure the contrast between text and background meets minimum readability requirements.

· Validating all designs to ensure that content adapts correctly to resizing on small screens without requiring horizontal scrolling.

· The development team is adapting all interactive components to ensure full keyboard functionality, allowing navigation without the need for a mouse.

· Auditing all automatically moving elements to verify that they have accessible and visible pause or close mechanisms.

· Verifying that tab order is logical and coherent, allowing sequential navigation that does not alter meaning or operation.

· Reinforcing the wording of link texts to make them more descriptive on their own and understandable without additional context.

· Applying a clear and logical hierarchy to headings and labels to facilitate content understanding and structured navigation.

· Reviewing all interactive elements to ensure the keyboard focus is always visible through clear and contrasting styles.

· Adding language attributes to content fragments in a language different from the main one, ensuring proper pronunciation by multilingual screen readers.

· Working to improve the semantic accessibility of all custom components, ensuring they correctly convey their role, state, and value to assistive technologies.

· Properly implementing the use of accessible roles and attributes so that dynamic messages (such as errors, confirmations, or alerts) are detected and announced by screen readers.

· Ensuring the five compliance principles required by WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) level AA (the intermediate level of accessibility starting from level A and ending at level AAA—the most demanding), ensuring that pages, processes, and technologies used do not interfere with the overall accessibility of the content.
