When you take out health insurance, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable in every way. That’s why you have the possibility of splitting the payment of your insurance in the way that suits you best: yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or even monthly. The waiting periods refer to the time that has to pass from the moment you take out the insurance until you can make use of some of its coverages. In the case of Salud integral, there are only waiting periods for the following coverages:
- Family planning: 8 months.
- Surgical interventions and hospital admissions (except in cases of life-threatening emergencies), including assistance in childbirth: 8 months.
- Oncological, cardiovascular, lithotripsy and dialysis treatments: 8 months.
- Postnatal care: 8 months.
- Assisted reproduction: 24 months.
The rest of the cover included in your insurance policy, you will be able to use them from day one.
Important! If you come from another insurance company and have a similar insurance with a minimum age of one year, the waiting periods can be eliminated, keeping only the waiting period for assisted reproduction.

Vestibular rehabilitation for inner ear pathology
We include vestibular rehabilitation in case you suffer from vertigo or dizziness caused by diseases of the inner ear. This cover is provided in approved centres and requires a prescription and medical authorisation.
Pelvic floor rehabilitation
In the case of pelvic floor dysfunction (urinary incontinence), possible alterations are analysed and the necessary treatments for recovery are carried out, including pelvic floor rehabilitation (physiotherapy speciality). This consists of pelvic floor exercises, biofeedback, electrostimulation, global body exercises (flexibilising the lumbar spine, stretching aimed at the lower body and lumbosacral region and breathing exercises), massotherapy and relaxing techniques
A maximum of 8 sessions per insured person per year are included in our associated centres.

Logo phoniatrics for organic pathologies:
Extension of logo phoniatrics coverage for vocal cords organic pathologies, resulting in 20 sessions per year. It is considered organic pathology:

Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening Test
The non-invasive genetic test analyzes the fetal DNA to predict the risk of Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (trisomy 18), and Patau syndrome (trisomy 13), in case of alterations (high risk) in the combined (triple screening) test of the first trimester.
Childbirth Preparation Program
From the second trimester of pregnancy we help you to be physically and psychologically prepared at the time of delivery. Including a complete face-to-face assistance program guided by midwives.
Postpartum Care
After delivery, assessment of the general condition of the mother and newborn. My medical history
