If there is an earthquake or an area affected by flooding, the CCS (Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros - Insurance Compensation Consortium) will be in charge of paying out compensation, as it will have been declared a catastrophic area.
In any case, Caser must pay, within 40 days of receipt of the declaration of the incident, the minimum amount that it will owe according to the facts of the situation.
